In the Record Display, when a Copy Status is displayed, when a copy is not out on loan it displays as "In". For Reference Only copies this may be misleading and so a different description might be preferred.  Instead of showing 'In' for reference only copies it is possible to set the Copy Status as something else . This can be set by each Library location so one library may have a different description to another even within the same instance of Soutron.**Please note: Only system administrator's can make this change of Copy Status.**


Select the menu: *System management>>Infrastructure Maintenance. S*elect a library to amend and click edit.

The setting is displayed on screen  **'Use custom Copy status for Reference copies'. **Click Customise (blue text to the right of the setting)

Click "Add" from the Actions Menu on the left hand side of the screen (see below)

and select a Language and Custom text to be displayed.

**Save **and **Close** your changes.  Also **Save **the change for the library on the main infrastructure maintenance page.

A Copy Record marked  as 'Is Reference' in the Locations Copy Management function will now show  the custom text instead of 'In'.
