To create an appropriate Access Permission, to allow your users to have the necessary administrative level to create Submissions, select Security Settings from the menu at the top of the screen and click on Access Permissions.

You will be presented with the Access Permissions Maintenance Screen, where you will be able to create the appropriate role for your users.

Give your new Access Permission an easily recognisable name, such as "Submissions" and, should you wish, a Description to explain its function.

Assign the normal roles and abilities you would grant to a non administrative user of the system, ensuring that they have access to the appropriate Categories and File Securities.

### Content and Record Types

It is essential that access is given to the individual Content and Record types for which submissions will be made. This is done by selecting the tick box next to the desired type - in the following example, the "Document" Record type belonging to the "Reports" Content Type has been selected.

The "Allow Edit" option must be enabled, this is done by clicking on Edit on the right hand side and then ticking the Allow Edit Box.

Select the appropriate option from the Publication Permission drop down menu and then click on Update.

This process will need to be repeated for each of the Content/Record types you wish Submissions to be enabled for.

When you have completed the configuration of your new Permission, scroll to the top of the screen and click on Save.
