If there is a waiting list for an item which is being returned, an alert is presented when the Item is returned.

The option to process the new loan immediately is presented

If there is a reservation on an item, the following message is displayed, when it is being processed as returned

# Processing the request now

Click **Yes**

The Reservation Request Maintenance screen, shows the requests for the item that is being returned:

Select the barcode for the item to be loaned, tick the box next to the request, then click **Confirm** in the Actions menu.

Finally, click **Back** in the Actions menu to return to the Item Returns screen.

# Processing the request later

Click **No** on the message.

It is suggested that the item is put to one side and to process the reservation later, from the normal Request Maintenance screen.

The Copy Status is changed by the system to "Pending Reservation".
