A validation list field enforces the selection of one or more valid entries from a pre-defined list: this ensures consistency of data entry and accuracy and speeds up data entry.

Validation lists may be single or multiple entry fields.

# Single entry

Click on the drop-down list to see the list of valid entries.

When the list appears, select one entry. 

# Multiple entry

Multiple entry validation lists appear as tick boxes. Many entries can be selected

To remove an entry, untick the box.
