Create a **New** Order from the Orders Tab in Administration or via the Acquisitions Order Management function.  To create a Subscription Order for a title that does not exist or a title that has not had the Serial functionality enabled,  create the new record first and or set the Serial Function using the Action menu option.

From the Orders tab, click on the blue **Create New button **shown at the top of the page and as shown below in red:

The New Order pop up window will open and will work in the same way as described in the [sub section](https://soutron.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HG/pages/3279456) but with one difference and that is the Title or CID section will be empty, as shown below in red.

In the Text entry box, either:

- enter a CID and the title will be shown in the suggestions list, from which a title can be selected
- start to type a Title and a list of suggestions wil be shown, from which a title can be selected

Select the title to order

 It will then be assigned and displayed

Continue placing the order using the blue **Create **button
