This section covers the creation, editing and deleting of thesauri. To access Thesaurus Maintenance, select     Thesaurus > Thesaurus Maintenance   . The following screen is displayed: This shows thesauri which have been defined previously. Creating a thesaurus To create a thesaurus, click on  Create  in the Actions menu. The following screen is displayed: On the General tab, fill in the fields as follows - all are mandatory: Then click on the "Languages" tab, to select which languages can be used with the thesaurus: Select a language from the "Select Languages From" box and click the " > " button to associate the thesaurus with that language. To remove a selected language, click the " < " button To associate all languages with the thesaurus, click the " >> " button, or the " << " button to dissociate all languages from the thesaurus For each language, you can define the translation for the thesaurus name Optionally, you can specify which of your own  user-defined thesaurus fields  you want to use for the thesaurus: click on the "User Defined Fields" tab When you have finished, click  Save and close  - the new thesaurus then appears in the list   The final step in creating a new thesaurus is to create an  application field .   Editing a thesaurus To edit a thesaurus: Select  Edit  for the thesaurus you wish to edit Make the required changes and click  Save Deleting a thesaurus Before deleting a thesaurus, you need to delete the  application field  first. To delete a thesaurus: Select  Edit  for the thesaurus you wish to delete Select  Delete  from the  Actions  menu on the left
