Available in the System management menu in Library is an option for Servers maintenance. This is used to configure FTP, POP and IMAP connectivity.

### FTP 

To add an FTP server (used when exporting data), click Create on the left hand menu, Enter a name for your server and select FTP from the server type drop down. Select the enable button if you wish it to be activated straight away.

Under connection settings enter all details provided to you by your FTP host.

Use the Test connection button to test your settings, and error will be shown if the connection is not successful, otherwise you may now save your settings.

### SMTP 

To add an SMTP server, click Create on the left hand menu, Enter a name for your server and select SMTP from the server type drop down. Select the enable button if you wish it to be activated straight away.

SMTP is used to send email from the Soutron application, this includes emails such as overdue notices and request confirmations amongst others.

Under connection settings enter all details provided to you, most likley these will be provided by Soutron support your own own IT department.

> ✅ If you are using a Soutron SMTP server with a from address of noreply@soutron.com you can set a replyTo address so that replies to emails are sent to an alternative address instead of to Soutrons unmonitored mailbox (noreply@soutron.com).

Use the Test connection button to test your settings, and error will be shown if the connection is not successful, otherwise you may now save your settings.

### IMAP & POP 

To add an IMAP or POP server, click Create on the left hand menu, Enter a name for your server and select IMAP or POP from the server type drop down. Select the enable button if you wish it to be activated straight away.

- POP is used when importing [Reprints desk](https://soutron.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HG/pages/3278622) emails.

Under connection settings enter all details provided to you by your mail server provider.

Use the Test connection button to test your settings, and error will be shown if the connection is not successful, otherwise you may now save your settings.
