This is generally a one-time task, apart from later amendments: it does not need to be done every time you create a report. > ⚠️ **IMPORTANT!** If an option is not enabled here, it will not be available in other parts of the Report Generator. **To access Global Settings, select** **Modules > Export > Global Settings**. > ℹ️ Note that PDF format produces much better results than Word, due to the way that Word interacts on the web | all except XML | | **Export methods available:** | Select as many methods as you need from the following options: Email, File, Print | all | | **Export limits:** | This option provides a way of controlling the number of records that can be downloaded and exported from the system in a format that could be used to load into a third party application
Tick the check box if you wish to set a limit on the number of records that can be export, then specify the number. Otherwise, leave the box unchecked. | 5 | | **Export compressions to ZIP:** | Reports can be compressed to save space: this is particularly useful if many of the records have attachments.
Tick the check box if you wish to allow compression, then specify which of the following options will be allowed:
- Attachments only - Attachments with separated Report - Attachments with single Report - Single Report only
Otherwise, leave the box unchecked. | all | | **Exports standards available:** | Select one or both standards: RIS (EndNote) and Soutron | all | Change the settings as required.
