Fines

### I am not seeing any fines on overdue items

This may be because:

- you have not populated the [non-working days calendar](https://soutron.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HG/pages/3279342)
- the user is not a member of a User Group which has fines assigned to it

Loan periods

### I have changed the default loan period, but it hasn't changed on the copy records

When you change the default loan period, it only applies to copies created from this point onwards, not to existing copies - to change the default loan period for existing copies, please contact Soutron.

Due dates

### The due date is ignoring the loan periods

This may be because:

- if it is near the end of the year, you have not populated the [non-working days calendar](https://soutron.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HG/pages/3279342) for the following year

Overdues

### When I go to edit an overdue template, I can't see the Number of Days option:

![image](media://49b1985e-8e5c-43ed-ab12-705e20ee3059)

This is because:

- you are attempting to do this via the Task Centre instead of the [Loans module](http://confluence.soutron.net/Editing_an_overdue_template.html). This is what you should be seeing:

Requests - general

### When searching, the Request option does not appear in the Actions menu

This may be because:

- you have not enabled requesting for the [Access Permission](https://soutron.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HG/pages/3279225) being used
- you have enabled requesting for the correct [Access Permission](https://soutron.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HG/pages/3279225), but not defined which Record Types
- you have not selected collecting and/or sending for the [library](https://soutron.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HG/pages/3279219)

Request Maintenance

### I can't see some items that I know have been requested

This may be because:

- you are viewing [Available Only](https://soutron.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HG/pages/3277217) items - un-tick the "Available Only" box

### When I am logged on as library staff, I can't see any requests in the Requests Maintenance screen

This may be because:

- in Access Permission Maintenance, for your role you have not ticked at least one office in "[Allow to process request for offices](https://soutron.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HG/pages/3279225)"

Request Wizard

### Some items say I don't have valid permissions

This may be because:

- you have not added this Record Type to the [security profile](https://soutron.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HG/pages/3278418) for this user
- the item has no [copies](https://soutron.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HG/pages/3278558)
- all the copies are set as [Reference](https://soutron.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HG/pages/3278568)
- for Supply a Copy, you have not [defined the supplying library](https://soutron.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HG/pages/3278454)
- the records were created before you set up the [request permissions](https://soutron.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HG/pages/3279228) and have not been subsequently edited to include the request flags
- in the settings for the [Library](https://soutron.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HG/pages/3278223), you have not ticked one of the send or collect options
- if the user is requesting items held in another [Library](https://soutron.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HG/pages/3278223), you have not ticked one of the inter-send or inter-collect options
