You can edit an order line entry at any time up until the point that the order is placed. This means that you don't have to complete the order line entry all in one go.

**To edit an existing order line entry, select** <span style="color: #ff0000">**Modules > Acquisitions > Orders**</span>.

A list of all existing orders is displayed:

Click **Edit** to the right of the order for which you wish to edit a line entry.

The same screen opens as for [creating a new order](https://soutron.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HG/pages/3277960), with the line entries displayed underneath:

Click the **Edit** icon to the right of the order line entry that you wish to edit.

The same screen opens as for creating a [new order line entry](https://soutron.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HG/pages/3276905).

Make the changes as required.

## Saving the Order Line Entry

When you have finished making the changes, save the order line by clicking **Finish** in the Actions menu.

You are then returned to the main order record, with the line entries displayed underneath.

> ✅ You can save the record at any point while creating it - this means that you can complete the line entry at a later time
