This tab allows you to [assign locations](#Assigning_Locations) to subscription copies and set up [routing lists](#Assigning_Routing_Lists).

When you click on the Distribution tab, the information is displayed as follows:

It shows the number of copies that you defined in the [Subscription tab](https://soutron.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HG/pages/3278845).

# Assigning Locations

The copies that are shown have no locations defined:

> ⚠️ Note that you do not have to assign locations at this point as they can be assigned during the receipt process. However, this will slow down the receipt process, so it is highly recommended that you select the locations in advance.

 

There are two ways to assign locations:

- [Bulk setup](#Bulk_Setup) - where you want to assign the same location to more than one copy
- [Editing individual copies](#Editing_individual_copies) - if you have only one copy or you want to assign different locations to different copies

### Bulk Setup

1. Select the copies which are to be assigned the same location.
2. Click Bulk Setup in the Actions menu.
3. The following screen appears: > Macro (inline-external-image)
4. Enter the information as follows:
5. When you have finished the definition, click **Process** to apply the definition.
6. You are then returned to the list of copies.

### Editing individual copies

1. For the copy for which you want to assign a location, click **Edit**.
2. The table expands to show four drop-down boxes: > Macro (inline-external-image)
3. Make the selections in the same way as for Bulk Setup.
4. Click **Update** to finish.

# Assigning Routing Lists

 

> ⚠️ Note that you do not have to assign routing lists at this point, as they can be done later from the [Serials Management Control Centre](https://soutron.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HG/pages/3279500).

 

To assign a routing list to a copy:

- from the list of copies, click **Add** next to it the copy
- from the copy edit screen, click **Select Routing List**
