It is possible to create serial issues manually. You would do this for irregular journals, or where an unexpected issue is created for a regular journal. This is all done in the Check-in screen.

**To access the Check-in screen, select** **<span style="color: #ff0000">Modules > Serials > Receipts</span>**.

1. Search for the journal you wish to create a manual issue for
2. Click on the journal title
3. Click on the “Create Manual Issue” button:  
> Macro (inline-media-image)
4. The following pop up message will appear:> Macro (inline-media-image)
5. Select the date of the issue, and click on "Save"
6. You are then returned to the Check-in screen
7. Expand the journal title to show the issues, then check in the newly-created manual issue in the normal way

### Changing the issue information

To change the issue information for the issue:

1. Click on the icon at the end of the issue line:> Macro (inline-media-image)
2. On the pop-up screen, change the entry in the Formatted Title box, eg to "Meyn Mamvro: ancient stones and sacred sites in Cornwall (Kernow) - quarterly index"> Macro (inline-media-image)

  
You can also change the Actual Date of the issue here
3. Click on "Update" when you have finished
