It is possible to delete issues from the list of expected issues, to handle those situations where a publisher decides not to publish a particular issue. In this case, the number of the subsequent issues can be [recalculated](https://soutron.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HG/pages/3279155). This is all done in the Check-in screen.

> ⚠️ Note that you canot cancel issues once they have been checked in, for example by mistake

This is done from the [Check-in screen](https://soutron.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HG/pages/3278486): **select** <span style="color: #ff0000">**Modules > Serials > Receipts**</span> or <span style="color: #ff0000">**Modules > Acquisitions > Check-in:**</span>

1. Search for the journal you wish to cancel issues for
2. Tick the checkbox next to the issue(s) that you want to cancel
3. Click on the “Cancel Selected” button: > Macro (inline-media-image)
4. The following pop up message will appear:  
> Macro (inline-media-image)
5. Click “OK” to continue, or “Cancel”.
6. If you click on “OK”, the issue(s) will be deleted and you are returned to the Check-in screen, with the cancelled issue(s) no longer displayed. > Macro (inline-media-image)

You may now wish to [recalculate](https://soutron.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HG/pages/3279155) the issue numbers.
