***Basics :***** How to View Thesauri and Thesaurus Entries**

The design of the screen is tabular in nature. The list of thesauri remains a dropdown menu. Tabs across the top of the screen provide access to other Thesaurus functions. If a function is not manageable within the Administration Module, the link will take you directly to the appropriate management location for that option. As the system is redeveloped, additional options will move directly into the Administration Module.

See below for example display:

The **Select Thesaurus** function remains a dropdown display under the “Thesaurus Search” tab. The tabs can be managed and changed from “A-Z” to a “Hierarchy” display. The chosen thesaurus can be changed using the red x ( <span style="color: #ff0000">x </span>) within the dropdown menu, Click on the red x to clear the display and choose another thesaurus.

Thesaurus list displays by default in alphabetical order. It changes to present the most recent thesaurus the logged in user worked within.

Terms can be expanded upon by clicking on the “** >** “ in order to view the terms under each main alphabetic header (for A-Z). (**image 1A)**

An “Expand” button is available to expand the Hierarchy view in the event you utilize hierarchies of thesaurus entries. The image can be compacted by using the “collapse” button to collapse the entries. This is totally optional and your system may not utilize this hierarchy feature. **(image 1B)**
